Hi, I'm Ashley.

My goal is to make fitness and nutrition NO BULLSHIT. Seriously.

I became a trainer and nutrition coach so that I could help women create efficient and effective training and nutrition plans that worked for their goals + constraints. 

No more workouts just to burn calories and close rings. And I'm not going to make you cut out ice cream or spicy margs forever.

I'm here to help you create a long-term plan that is tailored to your goals so that you can live your life, while continuing to improve your health + wellbeing.

Because no one should live without ice cream. Okay?


My Story

I wasn't always fit. In fact, most of my twenties was sustained on pizza and beer (and even a few cigarettes, but please don't tell my Dad.) While I dabbled in fitness, and even teaching a few classes, nothing ever stuck. I'd jump into a program or diet for a few weeks only to not show up to the gym and faceplant into a bowl of guac for a whole month. 

Sound familiar?

When my husband was asked to move to Brazil for work, I suddenly found myself lonely, anxious and bored with all my extra time in a new country. So, I started going to the gym consistently and something transformational happened:

- My anxiety lessened 

- My confidence grew

- My body changed

- And I started respecting my body and what I put into it more than ever

I realized that fitness + nutrition didn't have to be about depriving yourself or working out for hours. Simple, consistent movement could create enormous change. Both physically and mentally.

When we returned back to Iowa, 4 years and 1 baby later, I decided to stay home, prioritize my family and start teaching fitness. Now, I'm a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor, Precision Nutrition certified Nutrition Coach and have coached more than 3,000 hours of fitness classes. 

After seeing hundreds of women work so hard towards their goals, I decided to take it a step further. Now, I'm on a mission to help women get to their goals more efficiently--with effective programming + balanced nutrition that won't leave them feeling exhausted and defeated. 

You don't have to work out for hours on end and burn 1,000 calories in each workout to change your body. And you definitely don't have to cut out everything you love to eat. I'd love to help you create balanced, long-term change. And love doing it.

  • A mom of two, wife of one (also full of bad jokes). Here's a pic of my little fam. 

  • I'm obsessed with my dog, Chip. I talk about him like he's my 3rd child. I know that's totally annoying to people with an actual 3rd child, but I can't help it. I'm angling towards another dog but it will be a second before my husband finally gives in. 

  • I used to live Brazil and later moved to Luxembourg. I absolutely loved the experience (even if I cried about missing Target) and would jump at the opportunity to do it again. 

  • I once flew to London for the DAY to take a course to teach Boxing. I recommend staying for (much, much) longer. 

  • While I'd like to think I have a little style, my wardrobe is 95% workout clothes from Athleta and I'm totally okay with it. 

  • I love creating healthy meal plans and then making my husband all the cooking. It's called delegation. 

  • I say the F word...a lot. I've tried to change but let's just say I'm really lucky that my kids don't repeat after me. 

  • You can often find me over on Instagram stories where I'm telling funny stories about my kids or husband. I talk a little fitness + nutrition too...swear.
